About John R. LaParl, Jr.
John Robert LaParl, Jr. is an associate at McKeen & Associates. Before joining the firm in 2012, John spent 30 years representing doctors, nurses, hospitals and other healthcare professionals in medical negligence actions, giving him invaluable insight as a plaintiff-side medical malpractice attorney. Since joining McKeen & Associates, John has been involved in settlements and verdicts totaling more than $150 million. Notable results include a $16 million verdict in a Wayne County medical malpractice case and a $7.5 million verdict in the Upper Peninsula that became that region's largest personal injury verdict on record. John graduated from Michigan State University, where he also earned a varsity letter in tennis, and then attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
