About David Peterson

David M. Peterson is the Founding Attorney of Peterson & Associates, P.C., which he founded in 1993. The firm is a plaintiffs-only mass tort and personal injury law firm handling all types of catastrophic personal injury cases, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation.

Before founding Peterson & Associates, Peterson was a partner at the international litigation defense firm Shook, Hardy & Bacon, where he practiced law for almost ten years defending major corporations against catastrophic complex product liability claims.

Peterson has obtained well in excess of one million dollars in successful judgments and verdicts and has collected over $400 million on behalf of his clients. He has handled or been involved in cases in over 20 states and has been part of many successful mass tort and Multidistrict Court (MDL) litigations.

He is admitted to the Missouri Bar.

He has been voted by his peers to Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers for the last five years in a row and is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating possible.
