About Scott Nutter
Scott E. Nutter is a skilled trial lawyer and partner at Shamberg, Johnson & Bergman, Chtd. He represents individuals who have been seriously injured in accidents, as well as the families of those wrongfully killed. Since joining the firm in 2001, Scott has been co-counsel in some of the firm's largest jury verdicts. He served as co-counsel with Lynn Johnson in Frederick v. Swift, a semi-truck accident case that resulted in a $23.5 million verdict believed to be one of the largest personal injury verdicts in Kansas history. He also served as co-counsel in Pronald v. Firestone, involving a tire tread separation, which ended in an $8.3 million verdict believed to be the second largest personal injury verdict in the history of Johnson County, Kansas. Scott earned his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1996, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 1995 as one of only five juniors at the university. He then earned his law degree cum laude from the University of Missouri in 1999, during which he served as managing editor of the Missouri Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers. Before joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable D. Brook Bartlett, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
