David Morantz

David R. Morantz is an attorney and partner at Shamberg, Johnson & Bergman, Chtd., where he represents victims of accidents and other forms of negligence. His practice focuses on transportation cases, medical negligence, and product liability. He has represented clients in both federal and state courts and has argued cases before the Kansas Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. David served as president of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association from 2019 to 2020 and received the association's Thomas E. Sullivan Award in 2013 for significant promise as a developing leader. Before law school, David earned a journalism degree from the University of Kansas and worked as an award-winning newspaper reporter for The Associated Press and the Omaha World-Herald for about four years.

That experience sparked his interest in the law. He then earned his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he served as an articles editor on the Kansas Law Review and was honored as a top student in intellectual property law. David joined the firm in 2005 and has been selected for the Super Lawyers list every year since 2011. He is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
