About Ryan Toomey

Patrick Ryan Toomey is the Managing Attorney at Ramos James Law, PLLC in Austin, Texas, where he leads the legal team and handles complex, high-stakes plaintiffs' personal injury matters — including catastrophic injury, brain injury, motor vehicle and truck collisions, motorcycle accidents, construction accidents, premises liability, animal and dog bites, and wrongful death.

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Toomey was inspired to pursue law after reading John Grisham's 'The Firm,' and his father and grandfather's careers in law enforcement instilled a desire to help others and to seek justice for those in need. He has worked on a wide range of personal injury cases at firms in Austin and San Antonio.

Toomey earned his bachelor's degree magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he made the Chancellor's List every semester. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Baylor University School of Law in 2011, where he received the Patton Roberts, PLLC Award and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. He has been admitted to The State Bar of Texas since 2012 and the State Bar of Colorado since 2021. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Northern, and Southern Districts of Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association.
