Brooke Carickhoff

Brooke Carickhoff focuses her practice on representing clients who have suffered catastrophic injuries due to medical malpractice and hospital negligence. She has a unique perspective on medical malpractice law - before joining Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, Brooke was a trial attorney at a leading regional defense firm where she represented Philadelphia-area hospitals and physicians in complex medical malpractice actions. These cases involved birth injuries, strokes, cancer diagnoses, neurosurgery, heart surgery, and anesthesiology. Brooke is actively involved in the Pennsylvania community.

She was appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court as a board member on the Pennsylvania Commission for Fairness & Justice. She is also a board editor for the Lexis Nexus Practice Guide on Pennsylvania Civil Trial Practice and the Ohlbaum on the Pennsylvania Rules of Evidence . Additionally, Brooke leads an annual book drive with the literacy program Achieve Now, and has helped donate over 1,000 books to Philadelphia schools and their students.

Brooke regularly lectures on medical malpractice litigation at Drexel University Kline School of Law and Temple University Beasley School of Law. She also lectures on litigation to future physicians and healthcare providers at Drexel University’s School of Medicine. In her previous role, Brooke presented to healthcare providers on the continuing evolution of medicine in the law.
