About Tommy Datzman

Thomas "Tommy" Howard Datzman Jr. is an attorney in the pre-litigation department at Schiller Law Offices in Carmel, Indiana, where he manages cases from retention through the exhaustion of the pre-litigation process - including client onboarding, confirming insurance coverage, investigating, and analyzing liability. He joined the firm in April 2024.

Before becoming a practicing attorney, Datzman worked as a paralegal and law clerk in personal injury practice. After being sworn in, he worked for both plaintiff and defense personal injury firms. As a defense attorney, he obtained several favorable rulings, tried his first jury trial, and tried several small-claims bench trials.

Datzman earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

He is a member in good standing with the Indiana Bar and is licensed to practice in Indiana state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.
