David Bright

David Bright is of counsel at Sico Hoelscher Harris LLP in Corpus Christi, with more than 25 years of experience as lead counsel on catastrophic personal injury, product liability, automotive and tire defect, heavy trucking, commercial litigation, and class action and mass tort cases nationwide. He has argued before the Texas Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and has been admitted pro hac vice in a dozen states. His cases include Hall v. Goodyear, a rollover death case that led to a nationwide recall of 41,000 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires, a $15 million verdict in Bonorden v. Sulzer Orthopedics over a defective hip implant, and Brown v. Texas Department of Transportation, a Texas Supreme Court ruling for plaintiffs in the Queen Isabella Causeway bridge lighting case.

Bright served as president of the Corpus Christi Bar Association from 1995 to 1996 and chaired the State Bar of Texas District 11-A Grievance Committee. He has held an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell for more than a decade and is an affiliate of SAE International. He earned his B.A. from the University of Texas in 1983 and his J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1986, where he was associate editor of the St. Mary's Law Journal, and was admitted to the Texas bar in 1986.
