About Bennett Midlo
Bennett A. Midlo is a trial attorney in the Houston office of Sico Hoelscher Harris LLP, which he joined in 2017 with more than three decades of trial experience. His career began in complex commercial matters, antitrust litigation, and professional negligence cases before shifting to medical negligence, construction negligence, and product liability claims. For over a dozen years his practice has centered on representing individuals and families in product liability and industrial incident cases involving catastrophic injuries and fatalities across the United States, including automobile crashworthiness claims, tire design and manufacturing defect cases, crane collapses, petrochemical explosions, and facility fires.
Matters he has handled have resolved for amounts exceeding $140 million in total, including an $82.5 million verdict in 2010 in a north Texas industrial hot oil heater explosion case. Midlo earned his B.A. in English cum laude from Harvard University in 1982 and his J.D. cum laude from Tulane Law School in 1985. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
