About Robert Horton

Robert P. "Rob" Horton is a partner at Slater & Zurz LLP in Ohio, where his practice focuses on medical malpractice, car accidents, and general personal injury claims.

Horton earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Akron in 2002 and his Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law in 2008. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Civil Division of the Summit County Prosecutor's Office while attending law school. After graduation, he practiced as a solo attorney, handling criminal, domestic relations, and personal injury cases.

He later joined Perantinides & Nolan, where he developed his practice in medical malpractice, motor vehicle accident, and personal injury claims. In 2012, he moved to Kisling, Nestico & Redick. After several years there, he worked for National Interstate Insurance Company, a major insurer of commercial lines including trucking, bus, and fleet vehicle companies, before joining Slater & Zurz.

Horton is admitted to practice in Ohio and is an active member of the Akron Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
