Clayton Gillette

Clayton E. Gillette is an appellate attorney at The Accurso Law Firm, P.C. He graduated magna cum laude from Rockhurst University in 2000 and earned his J.D. summa cum laude, as valedictorian, from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2005. After law school, Gillette clerked for Missouri Chief Justice William Ray Price, Jr., then joined a major Midwest firm where he handled civil appeals across multiple states before establishing his own appellate practice in 2012. His appellate admissions include the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth, Tenth, and Seventh Circuits, as well as federal district courts in Missouri and Kansas. In State of Missouri v. Sylvester R. Sisco, II (Missouri Supreme Court, 2015), Gillette successfully reversed nearly 30 years of case law regarding the standard of review in Sixth Amendment cases.
