D.J. Young

D.J. Young is a truck accident attorney at The Law Firm for Truck Safety LLP with more than 20 years of trial and appellate experience. He is board-certified in truck accident law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a distinction held by fewer than 1% of attorneys, and holds an active Class A Commercial Driver's License. Young is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and is admitted in Ohio, Virginia, and Texas, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Tax Court.

He co-authored 'Truck Accident Litigation, Fourth Edition,' published by the American Bar Association. As lead appellate counsel, he preserved Ohio's largest trucking verdict at the time, $42.4 million, on appeal. He also secured a $7.65 million wrongful death recovery for a family who lost two young boys. Young earned his B.A. summa cum laude from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa honoree, and his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he served as articles editor of the Notre Dame Law Review.
