Michael Kane

Michael C. Kane founded THE702FIRM Injury Attorneys in 2013, bringing a science background to personal injury law. A native of Iowa, he earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology from Drake University in Des Moines in 2003, where he was part of a surgical research team that published work in a medical journal. He obtained his law degree from Drake Law School in 2006 and began his career representing insurance companies before switching to representing injured individuals and families. He focuses on cases that other firms turn down as too complex, and he excels at cross-examining experts.

Super Lawyers named him a Rising Star in 2009 and from 2017 through 2020. The American Institute of Legal Counsel named him to its 10 Best Under 40 list. Outside the office, Michael is an avid skier who enjoys tennis, golf, and time with his two children.
