About Karen Frostrom

Karen R. Frostrom is a partner in the firm's business and real property practice group, concentrating on business litigation, land use, eminent domain, and contracts. A Pennsylvania native and oldest of four, her interest in law was sparked in middle school when she visited a courthouse. She relocated to California for her undergraduate studies and fell in love with San Diego. She received her B.A. summa cum laude in Political Science with a Philosophy minor from San Diego State University, then attended California Western School of Law on a full scholarship and earned her J.D. magna cum laude.

She externed for the Honorable Rudi Brewster of the Southern District of California and clerked at the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Diego and the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. She has litigated trials to verdict in San Diego, Orange County, San Mateo County, Arizona, Colorado, and Washington D.C., and has handled appellate writs, direct appeals, and appearances before government agencies. She is admitted to practice in all California and Arizona state courts and all federal courts in California, and holds a California real estate broker license. She is active with the Conference of Delegates of California Bar Associations and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster youth.
