Karla Lopez

Karla Lopez is an associate at Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire. Born in Tijuana, Mexico, she immigrated to San Diego with her family in 1997 and grew up in Chula Vista. She earned a Bachelor's in Business and Global Politics from Arizona State University, then returned to San Diego to attend the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, she interned at the Family Law Facilitator's Office, the San Diego City Attorney's Office, and the U.S. Attorney's Office before clerking at TBM.

She officially joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2021 after passing the California bar. Her practice encompasses personal injury, business litigation, class action and mass tort lawsuits, condemnation and eminent domain, sex abuse litigation, and construction defects. She is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, the Lawyers' Club of San Diego, and La Raza Lawyers' Association, and is a member of the Louis M. Welsh Inn of Court. She has presented at local and national seminars on succeeding in personal injury practice.
