Thomas Waun

Thomas W. Waun is the Managing Partner of Ven Johnson Law's Flint office, with 34 years of practice and over 100 civil jury trials to verdict as lead counsel.

Waun is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan. He specializes in plaintiff personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, construction incidents, product liability, premises liability, police misconduct, and legal malpractice, with approximately 25% of his practice devoted to business litigation.

Waun has obtained verdicts or settlements exceeding seven figures over 10 times and mid- to high-six figures over 50 times. He is a 2023 Michigan Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame inductee and has been a Super Lawyer since 2008. He serves as President of the Michigan Association for Justice (since 2017) and as an officer of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law teaching trial practice.
