Jimar Cunningham

Jimar W. Cunningham is an Associate Attorney at Ven Johnson Law, concentrating on automobile accidents, dog bites, and general negligence matters.

Cunningham earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and his Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a Criminal Justice minor from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he was recognized as a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete and Division II Scholar-Athlete. He is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan (2025).

Originally from Rochester, New York, Cunningham clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Gershwin A. Drain (Eastern District of Michigan) during law school. He served as Class President in his final year, Vice President of the Black Law Students Association, and competed nationally on the Moot Court Board of Advocates at Howard University.
