About Jarad Silverstein

Jarad L. Silverstein is a Partner at Wapner Newman and chairs the firm's Medical Malpractice department. He joined the firm in 2017 after spending more than eight years as a medical malpractice defense attorney with Parker McCay P.A. in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, where he represented major hospital systems, physicians, and other medical professionals. He earned his Bachelor's degree from The George Washington University in 2004 and his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, in 2007, where he served as president and coach of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team. He began his career as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Karen L. Suter in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Burlington County.

His medical malpractice experience spans obstetrics, critical care, trauma, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, anesthesia, urology, and hematology and oncology. He has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2013 through 2022 and as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer from 2023 onward. He was selected to Best Lawyers in America in 2025, and his Medical Malpractice department has received Tier 1 status from Best Lawyers. He also serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the First Judicial District, Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County.
