About William Becker

William (Bill) Becker is an employment litigation attorney at West Coast Trial Lawyers with more than thirty years of employment law experience. He is a graduate of the University of California's Haas School of Business (accounting and finance) and also holds a B.A. in history from UC Berkeley, where he wrote an honors thesis on the early American labor movement. He continued his studies at UCLA School of Law, volunteering at El Centro Legal and interning for the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C. and the National Mediation Board during a threatened nationwide railroad strike. Bill began his career representing public safety employees and was a zealous advocate for the Association of Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs. He also worked as a management-side attorney with Jackson Lewis and Ballard Rosenberg and Golper, developing a sub-specialty in wage and hour law.

He then founded his own firm, where he pursued class action litigation for twenty years. His most notable cases include seven-figure settlements in class action cases against armored transport companies and ground service employers at LAX. Bill has successfully tried cases to jury verdict in Los Angeles Superior Court, litigated before the California courts of appeal, and handled high-profile cases against professional sports and entertainment figures. At West Coast Trial Lawyers, he handles employment class actions, PAGA cases, and discrimination and harassment matters.
