Doug Shaffer

Doug Shaffer is Senior Trial Counsel at Adamson Ahdoot LLP, having joined the firm in July 2024. With more than 40 years of complex litigation experience since 1984, he has handled more than 85 catastrophic injury cases and recovered tens of millions in settlements, litigating against major corporations including Nissan, Facebook, Honda, and Philip Morris.

Shaffer earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Pepperdine Law School (top 2% of his class), where he made the National Dean's List, received a Dean's Scholarship, served as a staff member of the Pepperdine Law Review, and received American Jurisprudence Awards in Evidence, Contracts, Real Property, and Bankruptcy. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Ohio State University. He is admitted to the State Bar of California and licensed before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California.

Shaffer is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, the American Association for Justice, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. His honors include Super Lawyers selection (2011-present), US News and World Reports Best Lawyers (2016-present), a Trial Lawyer of the Year nomination from the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, and Who's Who of American Law Students.
