Saad Sweilem

Saad Sweilem is an attorney at Adamson Ahdoot LLP, where he has practiced since August 2023. His practice focuses on personal injury and civil rights law, emphasizing advocacy for marginalized individuals. Before joining the firm, he served as a Deputy Public Defender at the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office.

Sweilem earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California Hastings College of the Law (now UC Law San Francisco) and his undergraduate degree from UC Davis. During law school he served as a Board Member of the Middle Eastern Law School Association (MELSA) and externed at the Public Defender offices in San Francisco and Santa Clara. He is admitted to the California State Bar.

Sweilem is involved with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) on civil rights advocacy and workshops and serves as a Know Your Rights Workshop facilitator with CAIR Sacramento Valley. He received the Civil Rights Achievement Award from CAIR Sacramento Valley and gained national media recognition for highlighting family separation issues and writing on Muslim ban legal challenges. He speaks Arabic in addition to English.
