Matthew Davis

Matthew D. Davis is a Shareholder at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger (Walkup Personal Injury Lawyers) in San Francisco, with more than 35 years of legal experience since his admission to the bar in 1989. He joined the firm in 2001. His practice focuses on personal injury litigation with a particular emphasis on bicycle accident cases.

Davis began his career at a boutique San Francisco litigation firm before joining the San Francisco City Attorney's Office in 1992, where he represented the city in jury trials and appeals until 2001. He played an active role in litigation against Bank of America that resulted in a $187 million settlement and obtained an unprecedented judgment exceeding $50 million against a title insurance company. He has helped secure hundreds of millions in verdicts and settlements for his clients.

A strong community safety advocate, Davis distributes thousands of bicycle safety lights annually.

He earned his Juris Doctor from UC Hastings Law School in San Francisco in 1989.
