Ian Head

Ian A. Head is an Associate Attorney at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger (Walkup Personal Injury Lawyers) in San Francisco, where he represents plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and product liability matters.

Head earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of North Carolina, where he was a four-year Division I athlete. He received his Juris Doctor cum laude from UC Law San Francisco. During law school, he worked part-time as a law clerk at Walkup, where he developed investigation, legal research, and motion practice skills before joining as an associate. He was sworn in by Judge Monica F. Wiley.

Head is admitted to practice in all California state courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and Hawaii state courts.

Notable case work includes a $26.3 million jury verdict (working with Richard Schoenberger, Matthew Davis, and Andrew McDevitt) on behalf of a 21-year-old plaintiff rendered quadriplegic after a rollover.
