Patrick Luff

Patrick Luff is a nationally recognized trial and appellate lawyer with a record that includes a $15.4 million wrongful-death judgment and a precedent-setting federal appeal. He has served in major leadership roles in complex litigation, including as Co-Liaison (Lead) Counsel in Texas MDL No. 2021-41903 (In re: Winter Storm Uri Litigation) and as a member of the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in MDL No. 2974 (In re: Paragard IUD Products Liability Litigation). Before entering private practice, he had an academic career as a law professor teaching legislation, civil procedure, and administrative law at the University of Oklahoma, Arizona State University, and Washington and Lee University, and was a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany.

He graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as Executive Editor of the Michigan Law Review, and subsequently pursued doctoral work at the University of Oxford on the regulatory role of litigation. He has published in the Connecticut Law Review, Utah Law Review, and Arizona State Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
