About Collin Gill

Collin J. Gill is a trial lawyer specializing in wrongful conviction, police misconduct, and malicious prosecution litigation. He joined Corboy & Demetrio as an Associate Attorney in 2024, having previously worked there as a Law Clerk during his time at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

In 2026, Gill received recognition as part of Super Lawyers' Illinois Rising Stars, an honor granted to merely 2.5% of eligible state attorneys. He was also selected to IL Leading Lawyers' Emerging Lawyers category in 2026, marking his second consecutive year with this distinction.

Before his current position, Gill served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Hon. Thomas M. Cushing of Cook County Circuit Court, where he assisted with case management, drafted orders and opinions, conducted legal research, and performed case analyses. Following law school graduation, he worked as an Associate Attorney at a Chicago firm focused on federal civil rights litigation.

During law school, Gill achieved Dean's List status and received the Thomas More Scholarship from 2019-2022. Additional recognitions included the Leadership, Service, and Public Interest Award and the CALI Award in Conflict of Laws. He served as guardian ad litem through Loyola's Community Law Center Clinic and as Associate Editor of the Loyola University Chicago International Law Review (2020-2021). As a Law Clerk at Corboy & Demetrio, Gill drafted motions, complaints, and briefs while supporting trial attorneys on cases including a wrongful death automobile accident matter that achieved a multi-million-dollar verdict.

Beyond legal work, Gill maintains active community involvement. Since 2022, he has tutored weekly with Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth. He also volunteers with Mercy Home for Boys & Girls and The Big Shoulders Fund as a mock trial coach, and previously served as an intake volunteer for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (2019-2020). He also volunteered with Asociacion Proyecto Emanuel, supporting indigenous communities in Costa Rica's Chirripo district.
