About Tommy Demetrio

Tommy Demetrio joined Corboy & Demetrio as an Associate on July 1, 2020. He practices in all areas of personal injury law and workers' compensation.

Since 2023, Tommy has been selected to the elite Lawdragon 500 X - The Next Generation, the top 500 up-and-coming lawyers nationwide. He was selected to 2024 Illinois Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters, and since 2021 he has been selected to Emerging Lawyers by the Leading Lawyers network, an honor given to fewer than 2% of Illinois attorneys.

Before joining Corboy & Demetrio, Tommy honed his skills as a trial lawyer at Clifford Law Offices, where he represented plaintiffs in personal injury litigation, including asbestos lawsuits and asbestos bankruptcy claims. Before joining Clifford as an attorney, Tommy worked as a law clerk at the firm from 2017-2018.

Tommy worked as a Summer Associate at Arnstein & Lehr in 2017, where he drafted motions, memos and briefs for partners, including motions to the United States Bankruptcy Court. From 2016-2017, he worked as a Law Clerk at Hinshaw & Culbertson, where he composed deposition summaries, prepared clients for depositions, and edited and reviewed contracts, motions and briefs. Prior to his legal career, Tommy was admitted into the prestigious NBC Page Program and went on to work at NBC Universal from 2012-2014.
