Raymond Dearie

Raymond Dearie is the founding and principal attorney at Dearie Law Group, P.S. in Seattle, Washington. Born and raised in New York City, he worked in national parks including Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska, Mount Rainier National Park, Death Valley National Park, and Yellowstone National Park before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Montana in 1997, where he served on Law Review. Following law school, he clerked for Chief Judge Fred Scullin in the United States District Court in New York, then moved to Seattle.

Dearie worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, where he was named Prosecutor of the Year for 2002 to 2003. He later trained at large law firms before founding Dearie Law Group in 2008. Dearie has obtained a Washington State record wrongful death jury verdict of $130,000,000

• a $21,000,000 verdict for a pedestrian struck by a car while crossing the street, a Washington State record slip and fall jury verdict of $13,100,000
• a $14,700,000 verdict for a car crash victim
• an $8,000,000 verdict for two child sexual abuse victims
• and a $6,100,000 verdict for a slip and fall in an icy parking lot, along with numerous settlements ranging from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars

He was named American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2023 and was elected in 2025 to the Damage Attorneys Round Table, an invitation-only group made up of Washington's top 35 trial lawyers. He has held a Super Lawyer designation since 2009.
