About Patricia Anderson

Patricia Anderson joined Luvera Law Firm in 1997 and has built a record of major verdicts and settlements in personal injury and wrongful death cases. In February 2020, she and David Beninger obtained a verdict of over $10 million against Amtrak for a passenger injured in the 2017 DuPont derailment. Together they also obtained the $150 million crane collapse verdict that included approximately $52 million for the Justad family.

In 2019, she assisted with two Amtrak trials resulting in verdicts of $9 million and $7.75 million. In 2018, she and co-counsel obtained a verdict of over $10 million against Genie Industries for injuries caused by a dangerously designed manlift. Other results include a $38.25 million verdict for a bicyclist hit by a valet driver

  • a $40 million settlement for ground victims of the KOMO helicopter crash
  • an $8 million jury verdict for a man hit in a crosswalk
  • a $12 million arbitration award for a police chief fatality
  • a $10.6 million arbitration award for a pedestrian struck by a semi-truck

Anderson teaches trial advocacy at the Trial Lawyers College and Justice Advocacy Africa. She serves on the Amicus Foundation Board of WSAJ and is regularly recognized as a Best Lawyer in America, a Washington Super Lawyer, and a Top National Trial Lawyer. She graduated magna cum laude from Whitworth College and earned her J.D. with honors from Seattle University School of Law in 1987.
