Deborah Martin

Deborah Martin joined Luvera Law Firm in 1999 to devote her practice exclusively to advocating for people with personal injury claims. Her work focuses on the legal issues associated with the firm's extensive litigation practice, both at trial and on appeal. She co-authored the WSAJ Medical Negligence Deskbook chapters on informed consent and loss of chance. Before joining the firm, Martin began her career with Helsell Fetterman LLP, becoming a partner there in 1993 and remaining until 1998 as a member of the general litigation department, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation and employment matters.

She has been an active member of the King County and Washington State Bar Associations, and is a longtime Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice. She was named to U.S. News Best Lawyers in America in 2024. She earned a B.A. in Psychology as a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from the University of California at Berkeley in 1981, and her J.D. with honors from the University of Washington School of Law in 1986.
