Barry Eichen

Barry R. Eichen is a Shareholder at Eichen Crutchlow Zaslow, LLP and a native of South Edison, New Jersey. He has been practicing law since his admission to the New Jersey bar in 1986 and has tried more than 100 cases to verdict over his career. His practice concentrates on personal injury, products liability, Federal Employers Liability Act claims, and medical malpractice.

He has represented clients in national mass tort litigation, including cases involving the diet drug combination Phen-Fen. Mr. Eichen previously served as a prosecutor before moving into plaintiff's practice and has served on the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, New Jersey chapter. His case results include a $19.2 million verdict in 2005 in a FELA pulmonary fibrosis case

• a $10.6 million verdict in 2007 against Ford Motor Company involving a defective throttle
• a $51 million verdict in 2010 against Johnson & Johnson for Medicaid overcharging
• a $30 million settlement in a consumer fraud case against OSRAM Sylvania
• a $90 million settlement in a Facebook privacy lawsuit
• and a $3 million verdict in a case against the City of Newark involving a pothole

He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1986 and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
