Al Afonso has spent more than 20 years as a practicing attorney concentrating his practice on criminal matters, child protection and permanency proceedings, and immigration-related matters. He was a solo practitioner for more than 10 years before co-founding Afonso Archie Foley, P.C. Born in Porto, Portugal, Al is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. He earned his undergraduate degree from Philadelphia University and his J.D. from The Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, and is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey.
