Thaddeus Yurek III

Thaddeus "Toby" Yurek III grew up in California, moved to Las Vegas in high school, and has considered Nevada home ever since. He did his undergraduate work at Hope International University in Fullerton, California, and returned to Nevada in 1995 to join the City of Henderson Police Department as a Police Officer. He served 20 years, reaching the rank of Lieutenant before retiring in 2015. During his law enforcement career, he completed a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University, then earned his Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, graduating in 2008.

He was admitted to the Nevada Bar that same year and joined GGRM upon retirement from law enforcement. His background gives him a particular understanding of first responders facing injury claims. Mr. Yurek serves as a Fee Dispute Mediator and Arbitrator for the State Bar of Nevada, is a member of the Nevada Justice Association, and was elected to represent Assembly District 19 in the Nevada Legislature.
