A St. Louis jury returned a $4.69 billion verdict against Johnson and Johnson on behalf of 22 women who developed ovarian cancer after years of using the company's talcum powder products, with Thomas K. Neill of Gray, Ritter and Graham, P.C. serving on the plaintiff trial team.

Scott Powell of Hare Wynn Newell and Newton served as one of four co-lead class counsel in the $1.51 billion nationwide settlement against Syngenta, recovering losses for hundreds of thousands of U.S. corn growers, grain handlers, and ethanol producers whose market access to China was cut off after the company prematurely commercialized an unapproved GMO corn trait.

Army Reserve pilot Kenney Jones died on July 31, 1994 when his Chinook helicopter struck unmarked power lines over the Osage River in Missouri. On retrial in St. Louis in 2001, a jury found the Three Rivers Electric Cooperative 100 percent at fault and awarded his widow $10 million for herself, the couple's two daughters and his parents. The Missouri Court of Appeals affirmed in 2002.

A St. Louis County jury awarded Jeffrey and Connie Schneider $6.4 million on July 5, 2013, finding that his physician at SSM DePaul Medical Group failed to follow a known mitral valve prolapse. A heart valve infection went undetected and he suffered a stroke at 53 that paralyzed his right side and damaged his memory. The award included $610,000 to Mrs. Schneider for loss of consortium.

Shannon Dodson, 34, of Maplewood, died in February 2011 after her left main coronary artery was dissected during a cardiac catheterization at Mercy Hospital, with roughly 30 minutes passing before intervention began. A St. Louis County jury awarded her family $10,831,155 in September 2013. The trial court applied Missouri's noneconomic damages cap, leaving about $2.18 million, and the Missouri Supreme Court affirmed in 2016.

A 16-year-old boy drowned in March 2006 after an electric current immobilized him and three friends in Spring Lake, just south of De Soto, Missouri. In March 2009 a Jefferson County jury found that AmerenUE's underground cable caused the current and awarded his parents $1.25 million. The same jury made separate awards to two 15-year-olds who were critically injured.

A St. Louis jury awarded $625,000 to Dawn Brancati, a cyclist whose legs were broken when a Metro Call-A-Ride shuttle struck her in a marked crosswalk in 2015. The jury assigned all fault to the transit agency and its driver, who had never seen her. The Missouri Court of Appeals affirmed the verdict in 2018.
