About Stephen Woodley
Steve Woodley received a D.M.D. from Washington University in 1982 and a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1986. Since joining Gray Ritter Graham he has served as lead trial counsel in several hundred medical negligence cases throughout Missouri, with a practice that also covers automobile and trucking accidents. He is a frequent lecturer at law, medical and dental schools and professional societies on medical and dental negligence, and has given continuing legal education presentations on voir dire and wrongful death damages. A St. Louis jury awarded $625,000 to Dawn Brancati, a cyclist whose legs were broken when a Metro Call-A-Ride shuttle struck her in a marked crosswalk in 2015. The jury assigned all fault to the transit agency and its driver, who had never seen her. The Missouri Court of Appeals affirmed the verdict in 2018.
