Bradley M. Lakin is a founding partner of SL Chapman LLC and has practiced civil litigation since 1997. A federal jury in St. Louis awarded Teddy and Melanie Scott $46.75 million after a nitrogen oxide gas cloud from Dyno Nobel's nitric acid plant in Louisiana, Missouri engulfed Teddy at a neighboring worksite. In 2024 the Eighth Circuit affirmed liability and all $16.75 million in compensatory damages but reversed the $30 million punitive award.
