About Dan Ritter

Dan Ritter's practice involves high-stakes business litigation and complex commercial matters, including breach of contract, class actions, partnership and shareholder disputes, insurance coverage disputes, and business torts. He is also passionate about helping families in catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and product liability cases. Dan's prior defense-side experience defending automobile manufacturers and trucking companies gives him particular insight into how defense attorneys attack in auto and trucking accident cases. He clerked for Chief Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois and Circuit Judge Ralph R. Erickson of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Dan is regularly sought as local counsel in Missouri and Illinois federal courts and has been selected in high-profile controversies ranging from post-trial mediations to multi-million-dollar insurance recovery actions. He served as an adjunct professor at Washington University School of Law and has been recognized for community service by the Missouri House of Representatives, the Department of Defense, and other federal agencies. He joined Gray Ritter Graham in September 2024. He is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, and multiple U.S. District Courts.
