About Michael Hernandez

Michael Patrick Hernandez is a Founding Partner of HHJ Trial Attorneys (Hepburn, Hernandez & Jung) in La Jolla, California, and is widely regarded in the San Diego legal community as an expert trial strategist with a reputation for winning the most difficult cases. He began his career at the San Diego Public Defender's Office, where in both his first and second years as an attorney he won the most criminal defense jury trials in San Diego County, securing not-guilty or hung verdicts, including a six-trial winning streak. After founding HHJ in 2018 with partners Adam Hepburn and Elliott Jung, he has helped litigate more than 100 jury trials within the partners' first five years of practice and has secured multiple seven- and eight-figure verdicts for his clients, including a landmark $18 million insurance bad-faith verdict against a pre-trial offer of $27,000 and a $2.7 million car-accident verdict against a $150,000 insurance offer.
