Derek Brackon

Derek J. Brackon is an Attorney at Michigan Auto Law focusing on auto negligence litigation. He has experience on both the plaintiff and defense sides of auto accident litigation.

Brackon earned his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Brackon began his legal career handling medical malpractice cases before transitioning to auto negligence litigation. He previously served as head supervising attorney for Michigan's largest insurer. His honors include Super Lawyers and DBusiness Magazine's Top Lawyers in Metro Detroit (2025).
