Bruce Plaxen

Bruce M. Plaxen is the founding partner of Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A., a Maryland personal injury law firm he established in 1985 at age 26 with no financial backing and only two years of legal experience. With more than 40 years of experience in personal injury litigation, he is a nationally recognized trial lawyer and the 80th President of the American Association for Justice (2025-2026), the first attorney from Maryland to lead the organization in its 80-year history. He played a pivotal role as national organizer for the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund. He earned his B.A. cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany and his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.
