Jonathan Schochor is the founding partner and chairman of Schochor, Staton, Goldberg and Cardea, P.A. in Baltimore, Maryland. Practicing since 1971, he concentrates on medical negligence and catastrophic injury cases. He co-founded the firm with Kerry D. Staton in 1984. He led the Levy class action that produced a $190 million settlement against Johns Hopkins Hospital, described as the largest single-perpetrator sexual-abuse settlement in U.S. history, and pioneered Maryland precedent requiring surgeons to disclose HIV-positive status before invasive procedures.
