About Chris Stokes

Chris Stokes is a personal injury and wrongful death attorney and partner at Rafi Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia. He focuses on catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases caused by car accidents and tractor-trailer crashes, as well as negligent security cases where property owners failed to protect residents and guests. What sets Chris apart is his background in insurance defense: before joining Rafi Law Firm, he worked for a well-respected insurance defense firm in the metro Atlanta area, where he defended businesses and insurance companies in a wide range of personal injury cases, including automobile crashes, dangerous property claims, and insurance coverage disputes. He saw firsthand how insurance companies evaluate claims, build defenses, and look for weaknesses. Chris brought all of that knowledge with him when he switched to representing plaintiffs, using his understanding of insurer tactics to help injury victims and their families obtain full compensation.

Chris earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Auburn University before attending the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of both the mock trial and moot court teams. He represented plaintiffs in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and argued before the Board of Immigration Appeals through UGA Law's Appellate Advocacy Clinic. His advocacy work earned him membership in the National Order of Barristers. He represents clients throughout Atlanta and the surrounding metro area, including Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Cobb counties, as well as in Florida.
