Peter Law

Peter A. Law is the senior principal and founder of Law & Moran, Attorneys at Law in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned a business degree from Florida State University in 1990 and his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 1993, after which he was admitted to the Georgia Bar. Before founding the firm, Law worked at a large insurance defense firm, giving him direct insight into how insurers evaluate and contest injury claims. His practice centers on premises liability, motor vehicle collisions, trucking accidents, product liability, and wrongful death cases. Law served as lead trial counsel on the 2019 DeKalb County jury verdict of $81 million against Kroger for negligent security, which resulted in a post-apportionment net verdict of approximately $69.7 million for a Navy veteran shot multiple times in a Kroger parking lot.

His other significant verdicts include a $105 million product liability settlement in 2023, a $72.96 million premises liability jury verdict in 2015, a $58.47 million premises liability jury verdict in 2023, and a $54.42 million tractor-trailer negligence verdict in 2008. Law has been selected to Georgia Super Lawyers for 24 consecutive years (2004 through 2027) and has been listed among the Top 10 Georgia Super Lawyers for more than a decade. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Best Lawyers in America annually. Law is a member of the International Society of Barristers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
