Matt Stein

Matthew W. Stein is a Board-Certified Trial Attorney at Stein Whatley Astorino, PLLC in Louisville, Kentucky, with more than 34 years of courtroom experience. He handles cases involving vehicle accidents, medical negligence, premises liability, and business disputes.

Stein earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 1989 and his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Kentucky in 1985, where he lettered in football. He was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1989.

He is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and as a Civil Pretrial Advocate by the National Board of Civil Pretrial Practice Advocacy. His honors include Kentucky Super Lawyer designation (2007-2009, 2013-2023), National Trial Lawyers Top 100 membership, Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America Trial Lawyer Honorary Society.
