About Brian Shoot

Brian J. Shoot is a member of the firm and an appellate specialist who has argued approximately 250 cases in New York appellate courts over his career. Admitted to a variety of courts including the United States Supreme Court, he is a sought-after expert on appellate issues by members of the bar and a frequent lecturer on municipal and premises liability, tort damages, appellate practice, and labor law. He is a member of the Office of Court Administration's Advisory Committee on Civil Practice.

He joined Sullivan Papain and has been a member since 2003. He earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1979 and his B.S. from Union College in 1976. He has been named Best Lawyers in America Lawyer of the Year (2014) for the New York City area in appellate practice and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
