Drew Widders

Drew M. Widders earned a Political Science degree with a Health and Life Science minor from UC Santa Barbara before attending McGeorge School of Law, where he received his J.D. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2006. The majority of his practice focuses on medical malpractice, holding healthcare providers accountable when they harm or kill patients. He has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict and secured multiple multi-million-dollar settlements. Drew has handled numerous appellate matters, including Whitlow v. Rideout Memorial Hospital, 237 Cal.App.4th 631, a decision holding that a hospital can be liable for an independent contractor emergency physician's actions when it fails to provide adequate notice of employment status. He is the current Vice President of the Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association and has spoken on topics including the No Surprises Act and AI in litigation.
