About Michaela Waisman

Michaela Waisman is a Workers’ Compensation Attorney and is passionate about advocating for her clients who are injured at work. Michaela has been practicing exclusively in Workers’ Compensation Law since 2019 and was nominated for the Professionals in Workers’ Compensation Claimant Attorney of the Year in 2024. Michaela’s law career was inspired by stories of her great-grandfather who was a civil litigator and often took cases on behalf of injured workers. Michaela earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and her law degree from Phoenix School of Law. Prior to joining Bachus & Schanker, Michaela worked for a major technology company and following law school, practiced in the areas of online defamation and technology law.

Michaela fell in love with the advocacy, statutory nuance, and fast pace of Workers’ Compensation and is committed to growing and developing this area of law. Michaela joined Bachus & Schanker in 2023, inspired by the firm’s commitment to justice. Michaela was raised in the Midwest but spent a decade of her life in Phoenix, Arizona before settling in Denver. In her spare time Michaela enjoys yoga, running, and spending time with her family.
