About Scott Cummins

Scott Cummins is an experienced product liability and insurance bad faith coverage lawyer who has handled multi-million-dollar cases against aircraft and product manufacturers and insurance companies. He began his career at Luce Forward Hamilton and Scripps, handling business and product liability litigation, and later co-founded Sullivan Cummins Wertz McDade and Wallace, an 18-lawyer firm, before becoming of counsel to CaseyGerry. In 1999 he co-founded Insurex, a commercial insurance services business operating in 40 states through more than 1,000 affiliates. He holds a California Insurance Broker license (Lic.

OD22998) and has served on the City of San Diego Small Business Advisory Board and the La Jolla Youth Soccer League Board. He was named to Best Lawyers in 2020 and 2021. In his spare time he enjoys tennis, sailing, and surfing.
