Vanessa Deniston

Vanessa C. Deniston is the Managing Trial Attorney for the Employment Team at the Dolan Law Firm, PC, based in the firm's Oakland office. She joined the firm in 2017. Her practice covers employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower violations, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, personal injury, sexual assault, and elder abuse cases.

Deniston earned her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.

She is active with Consumer Attorneys of California (Executive Committee and Board of Directors; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee; Women's Caucus), the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the California Employment Lawyers Association, Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom, and the Alameda County Trial Lawyers Association.

Deniston was named the Marin Trial Lawyers Association's 2025 Trial Lawyer of the Year and has been listed on Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2018 to 2025. Notable case work includes a $17.2 million jury verdict in Guzman et al. v. Morning Star Trucking Company, LLC (December 2024). She has handled cases against Uber Technologies, Kaiser Permanente, Chevron, Wyndham Destinations, and the Walt Disney Company.
