Brett Coppage

Brett Coppage is an attorney at Edelman & Thompson Law Firm in Kansas City. His practice areas include work injury, personal injury, car/truck accidents, animal attacks, wrongful death, and slip-and-fall cases.

Coppage joined Edelman & Thompson in 2013. Before joining the firm, he served as judicial law clerk to Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Jay A. Daugherty and spent five years as a business litigation attorney at a Kansas City defense firm.

He earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2007, where he was a Law Review member and Urban Lawyer articles editor and board member. He received the 2007 UMKC West Publishing Award for Most Outstanding Contribution to Scholarly Writing. He earned his undergraduate degree from Truman State University in 2004.

He is admitted to the Missouri and Kansas bars and is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and American Association for Justice.
