Melissa Steed

Melissa Steed is an attorney at Edelman & Thompson Law Firm in Kansas City. Her practice areas include personal injury law, with focus on workplace accidents, vehicle collisions, wrongful death claims, and products liability. She handles investigations, depositions, witness preparation, discovery, motions, trials, and settlement negotiations.

Steed earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2008, where she was a member of Law Review and the Journal of Business and Law. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Political Science cum laude from the University of Tennessee in 2003.

After law school, she clerked for Jackson County Circuit Judge Jay A. Daugherty.
